James has kept DMC a safe workplace since 2011 encouraging all DMC employees to embrace our Safety Culture. James is fully commitment to Safety and “Zero-Incidents” by leading through example, mentoring others, and enforcing Safety procedures on projects. As Safety Manager, he oversees the Safety Program and Safety Personnel companywide. James audits job sites for health and safety issues and recommends corrective action when he finds deficiencies. He is responsible for the administration of record, incident investigation and the enforcement of policies.
James has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Ursinus College and has an extensive range of Certificates and Continuing Education courses targeting Safety. He has the 4-hour OSHA Recordkeeping, 10-hour General Industry Safety & Health, 30-hour Construction Safety & Health, 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response (HAZWOPER), 510 Occupational, and Safety & Health Standard for The Construction Industry. He is Fall Protection Competent Person Program certified, NFPA 30E qualified and he is a certified Red Cross Trainer in First Aid, CPR, and Bloodborne Pathogens. James is also a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers and he is very actively involved in the Mechanical Contractors Association of New York and the Building Trades Employers Association’s Safety Committee.
